Today I have the pleasure of speaking with Sarah McCrum, who I like to call a "Spiritual Financial Coach".
I'm very excited to be speaking with her, so let's cut to the chase and get started!
Sarah, thank you SO very much for speaking with me today!
Can you please introduce yourself to our readers?
I'm an author and educator and I specialize in teaching people how to transform their relationship with money so they can grow their business AND their inner peace.
When did you know that helping people with their finances was your calling, and what inspired you to start your business?
I started my business when I moved to Australia in 2012.
I didn't know anyone here and I needed to make money to survive so I had no choice because I didn't want to get a job.
I didn't plan to help people with money. I had an experience in 2010 when I was asked to write about what money wanted to say to me.
My pen started writing automatically and I found an extraordinarily beautiful message about money emerging. It was the first of many messages from money that I eventually published in a book called Love Money, Money Loves You.
It took me some time to learn from my own book but it became clear that I had to share it with others because it's so transformational.
You've put together numerous courses, and written numerous books. Which is the most popular with your clients?
Love Money, Money Loves You is the most popular book and I run a 12-month program called Thank You Money, which is my biggest course.
You offer "energy activations" on your website, can you tell us what those are, and how they work? An energy activation is a bit like a guided meditation with a theme.
The purpose is to activate a particular aspect of your energy, for example, self-love, healing or your relationship with money.
It's a very powerful way to learn because you don't have to work hard. You immerse yourself in the energy of the activation and the change happens very naturally.
Do you have any student/client success stories that are most memorable to you?
I receive emails regularly where people describe surprising transformations in their financial circumstances, but I'm always especially happy when I hear that in changing their relationship with money they've also changed their other relationships.
Often I see happier partners and families and that is a beautiful additional benefit.
How have things changed for you during the pandemic, and how have you adjusted?
I was working online for many years so it didn't make much difference to me. Here in Queensland, Australia, we were very little affected by the pandemic.
The biggest challenges for me were around the serious distortions of truth that were happening in the media and elsewhere and how to communicate with people about such sensitive and potentially divisive topics.
That was a big learning for me.
Any parting words of advice for our readers in these troubling times?
Troubling times are times of great opportunity, so it's important to be awake and not let yourself become a victim of circumstances.
This is a remarkable time for expanding your consciousness and challenging everything you thought you knew about life. It's easier to choose to do it yourself than have it imposed on you.
