Jennifer holds a Master degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science from Boston University, and she loves to bring intellect and reason to her readings.
Jennifer, thank you SO very much for taking time out of your busy day to chat with me!
Let's get started! 🙂
Tell us about yourself, please!
I'm a single woman now in my fifties, working solely doing psychic readings and astrology charts. I bought my first Tarot deck in 1985 and did readings for friends before starting to read professionally at the Tremont Tea Room in Boston. Before delving into Tarot, I studied astrology.
My first astrology teacher was a wise elderly man in his 70s who I met at a coffee shop. I've worn many hats before finally realizing that all things "woo woo" are really what I am most attracted to for work.
I have been a fitness instructor and personal trainer, a snowboard pro, a yacht stewardess, a freelance writer, a nanny, and most of the time an executive assistant in academia and the corporate world. I get bored easily, as one could gather, but am happiest now, doing what I love the most.
When did you first realize you had special abilities?
In the first grade. I was sitting in class listening to the nun drone on about something and I started seeing what I can only describe as a movie. I could clearly see a man with dark brown hair and a beard sitting at a dining table next to his son, helping him do his homework. I blinked my eyes to see if it would stop playing, and it didn't.
I didn't realize it at the time, but it was a vision of some sort. This happened quite a bit. I would always get in trouble for being "easily distracted" and came to dread parent-teacher conference night, LOL. To this day I wonder who that man and the boy were. That's the first experience I can recall.
According to your website, you're a Psychic Astrologer. Can you share how Astrology differs from numerology?
Astrology has solely to do with the effect that the planets, luminaries, and fixed stars have on our lives. I'm not proficient in numerology, so I can't comment on the differences.
You do a lot of volunteer work, which I think is amazing - can you tell us about that, and who you're helping? Don't be shy, it's amazing that you're doing this! <3
Thank you. I work solely through a volunteer organization called FindMeGroup.org which is comprised of not only psychics, but retired law enforcement, K-9 handlers, and search parties.
To work for find me group, I was given several different test cases and "tried out" to be accepted as one of the psychic volunteers.
Editors Note: This is an amazing Organization that Jennifer donates her time to free-of-charge, give them a visit and show some love! https://www.findmegroup.org/
When did you know that it was your calling, and what inspired you to start your business?
When I started working on the weekends at the Tremont tea room, I realized I loved doing psychic readings more than I loved being an executive assistant. So after much thought, I quit my day job, and within three years I had built up enough clientele where I could work solely as a psychic on my own. In those three years, I had to work part-time jobs to supplement my income. It was tough and I wasn't a spring chicken, but I persevered and it was worth it.
What is the most popular type of reading with customers?
Love and romance, followed by career. Those two are the biggies.
Do you have any special or memorable sessions or readings that stand out in your mind?
Yes! I was studying mediumship at Arthur Findlay College in England, and was placed in an advanced class.
The other 20 or so students in my section had much more experience than I, and I felt I was out of my wheelhouse.
The most nerve-racking day of the one-week course occurred at the end when I had to get on stage and give a reading in front of a crowd. Suddenly I saw a young boy, and he showed me himself playing soccer, his family, and finally him standing in a large Church near his coffin at his own funeral.
I relayed all of this information to the crowd, panicked that I was imagining the whole thing and that I was going to make a jackass out of myself. A woman in the audience immediately raised her hand and verified, in tears, that it was her friend's son. I think it was that evening when I realized this gift helps people tremendously, knowing that their loved ones on the other side are a-okay. Mediumship readings can be very draining, I find psychic readings are a little less taxing on my energy, but I enjoy doing both.
How have things changed for you during the pandemic, and how have you adjusted?
I live in the mountains, and because I'm surrounded by a lot of nature and not too many people, the pandemic wasn't that bad for me, luckily. Plus, I only do phone readings, so nothing changed business-wise. If anything, it got a little busy as people were stressed out about their futures.
What do you love the most about what you do?
I love helping people. It sounds like a line, but it's true. There is nothing more rewarding than being of service to others, and when I hear someone crying with relief, or receive a client's text several months after a reading telling me that she got pregnant right when I predicted, that makes me happy for my clients that they have some peace.
I love that I can encourage people to take a leap of faith and not make decisions based on fear. That is the big point that I try to make in every reading. No one calls a psychic when everything is going well, people call me when they are scared, nervous, guilty, worried, etc. I try to give them a fresh perspective and most of all hope. If we don't have hope, we've got nothing.
Any final words of wisdom or parting thoughts for our readers in these trying times?
Keep your vibe up. Avoid negativity like the plague. Don't watch the mainstream news, or limit it to 5 or 10 minutes a day if you must. Watch positive, uplifting, and funny shows and films, and listen to happy music. Get out in nature. Exercise. Exercise in nature!
Put down the Fritos, the Big Macs, the beers. Pick up an apple and go for a walk. Feed your brain with quality material. When you keep your vibe up, you're less prone to attracting negative energy from other people, and entities. When you keep your vibe up your light is bright.
Do some volunteer work.
There's nothing like helping someone who is down and out, or taking a homeless dog for a walk out of the shelter for some fresh air and sunshine.
Helping others puts your own dramarama and worries in perspective. Go see stand-up comics. Watch stand-up comics on Netflix or Amazon. Laugh. Most of all, laugh.
