Interview with Lee VanZyl, Lawyer Turned Psychic Medium!

lee-vanzyl-psychic-medium-interview

Today I have the great pleasure of speaking with Lee VanZyl, The South African Medium and founder of The MontClair Psychic School in NJ, with a focus on training of mediums and healers!

Tell us about yourself, please!

I was born and raised in South Africa and now live in the NYC Metro Area. I spent most of my adult life as a lawyer.

Once I discovered spirituality, I developed my mediumship. It led me on a crazy spiritual journey that led me into different healing modalities as well. I work full time and a medium, healer and spiritual coach. I run the MontClair Psychic School in NJ that is focused on the training of mediums and healers

- When did you first realize you had unique abilities?

I was aware of the spirit world at a young age but was terrified of it. I only started to explore it once I took a mediumship class and started working with the Law of Attraction for my own self healing and that happened in my 40s'.

- When did you know that it was your calling, and what inspired you to start your business?

I was amazed that I could connect to someone's family in spirit during my very first class. I knew this is what I wanted to do. My teacher at the time, encouraged me and helped me set up a mediumship development circle a week later and a few months after that I opened up an office just to have a place to sit in a circle with other mediums and practice. Pretty soon people started coming and voila! So I guess it all unfolded quite naturally without ever really planning it.

- What is the best part about being a psychic medium?

It is an honor to be of service to the spirit world and to be a part of them being able to connect to their family who are still here.

- What is the hardest part about being a psychic medium?

Judgment by people and it takes a lot of work and effort for the gift to fully unfold. It takes a lot of dedication.

- What is the most popular type of reading with customers?

Spirit Communication

- How have things changed for you during the pandemic, and how have you adjusted?

Due to all the self-healing I have done on myself, I was able to cope quite well and did not struggle emotionally or mentally. It was devastating to have my business shut down with very expensive rent that I could not negotiate down with my landlord. 2 weeks after shut down I sprung into action and moved my entire business online. It was a successful year and now that we have opened up again I offer both online and in-person services and classes.

- What do you love the most about what you do?

I love it so much that it feels as though I do not work, but simply enjoy every day.

- Any final words of wisdom or parting thoughts for our readers in these trying times?

Start working with the law of attraction. Self-healing is key. Stay open to see where the journey leads you, you might be pleasantly surprised.
