Jewels (Known as Jewels of Sedona) has 25 years plus professional experience as a Psychic Medium. She is certified as a Psychic Intuitive and Medium with James Van Praagh School of Mystical Arts, a certified Usui Reiki Practitioner and Hypnotherapist at the nationally accredited College of Hypnotherapy in Los Angeles, CA.
Jewels, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to chat with me, let's cut straight to the chase and get started!
- Tell us about yourself, please!
I am a Psychic Tarot reader and an Evidential Medium. I’ve been doing my work for 25 years. I do Psychic readings with Tarot cards, I am a Clairvoyant, Clairaudient,Clairsendient and an empath. I do Evidential Mediumship readings communicating with loved ones on the other side.
I live in the most amazing place ever, in Sedona, Az. and I moved here 18 years ago, originally from San Diego, California.
I have my own business Jewels of Sedona and I love what I do! I do phone readings, zoom or Skype readings, and also in-person readings where I go out to clients that are staying here in Sedona. I love going to the wonderful resorts, hotels, and Air BnB's that I get to visit when I see my clients and I absolutely love all my clients. I also work with a store in town that I do in-person readings by appt only. I am so grateful for the work I do to help people.
- When did you first realize you had unique abilities?
I was 7 years old when I started seeing spirits, they looked as real as ever, just like I was looking at a normal person. I had to keep this to myself because my mother told me people would think I’m crazy. My mother saw spirits too so she supported me in my gift.
- When did you know that it was your calling, and what inspired you to start your business?
I thought one day it would be fun to take a tarot class so I did and it was really natural for me. I practiced with my teacher, my friends, and family and I just thought it was so much fun.
As predictions started coming true with people I read for, I started getting referrals and I was so busy that I had to start charging. I also started doing readings in various new age stores. I was basically thrown into this work and I’ve been doing readings ever since. I think the more I saw how I was helping people the more I knew this was my life purpose.
- What are some of the greatest challenges that come along with being a Psychic Medium?
I talk to a lot of clients that are going through a lot emotionally and because I’m an empath I feel everything that they are feeling and that is really tough at times. I feel for people and that can be difficult but that is also what drives me to help as many people as I can. So many people are going through tough times right now more then ever and I’m grateful I can help people get through some very dark times.
- What is the most popular type of reading with customers?
I would say Psychic Tarot readings, a lot of love relationship readings, and also Mediumship. Love relationships are really up for people right now, so many people are making life changes leaving toxic relationships and wanting a healthy one. A lot of people want to know when they will meet their person.
Mediumship though is actually very popular, people want so badly to communicate with their loved ones that are on the other side. It’s the most healing reading, getting to hear from their loved ones, the ones that need to show up always do, and finding out that their loved ones are happy and are at peace, who they are with, and what they are doing. It’s amazing to see the client's energy change in such a positive way after they have had a mediumship reading!
- How have things changed for you during the pandemic, and how have you adjusted?
Before the pandemic, I was so incredibly busy out going to in-person readings and I was so grateful. Then the pandemic hit and I was still busier than ever but I have been doing mostly phone and Zoom readings, once in a while doing an in-person reading but it has been different, I am still very grateful though.
Before I could hold someone’s hand to connect to them and give hugs after the readings, oh yes I’m a big hugger!! I’m getting back to doing in-person readings now but I have to keep my distance from them, so it’s still a little different than before the pandemic. But I’m still helping clients and that’s all that matters!!
- What do you love the most about what you do?
First and foremost I love helping people. I love meeting new people, and I love talking to my regular clients too! I love the freedom I have, having my own business,
This is all I do all day long and I love it so much. I actually love talking to spirits and relaying messages to my clients. I think my work is fun and so rewarding in so many ways.
- Any final words of wisdom or parting thoughts for our readers in these trying times?
We are going through a shift of consciousness, a huge shift in this world. If you are going through some really tough times right now, it will get better. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Make sure to do self-care things for yourself, do the things that keep you grounded, be in nature, be grateful for everything around you. Be in joy as much as you can. Keep your frequency vibration high. Talk to your angels, spirit guides, and ancestors they will support you always. Right now is the most important time to do these things, it will make a difference in this world and also for you and your loved ones.
