Purchase a special camera:
You may be surprised that it's possible to purchase a special camera, which will allow you to clearly see your aura.
If you have little to no experience with seeing auras, it's well worth purchasing a camera to help you see auras as you'll get a sense of what you're looking for, when you try to see an aura without a special camera, for the first time.
The reasoning behind this is simple, If you've never seen one before, you may not know what you're looking for.
Though I do recommend trying the steps below first to see an aura, LightStalking.com has a great explanation of how aura photography can work.
Use a white wall to see your own aura for the first time:
In order to see them without using a special camera, you can train yourself to start seeing auras.
As its usually much easier to see your own aura, than another person's aura.
Here's How You Do It:
- To begin with, sit across from a plain, white wall.
- Make sure to sit in a sturdy chair and have both feet flat on the ground.
- Close your eyes for a few minutes and practice breathing in and out deeply, in order to center yourself.
- Next hold out your left arm straight in front of you, with your left palm facing your wall. Ensure that your fingers are together.
- Next, soften your gaze while looking at your left hand. It may take 30 seconds or more till you start seeing the energy field which surrounds your body, around your hand.
- When you start to see your energy field, slowly separate the fingers on your left hand. You may now see an energy forcefield between your fingers which is a specific color or a mixture of colors.
If you practice this exercise on a daily basis you should notice that you're able to see your aura surrounding your hand and then your entire arm.
While it may take time to see your aura on command, over time you should be able to see it without using a white wall or staring at your hand.
Try using a mirror to see your own aura:
If you have no luck using a white wall, you can practice with a mirror instead. Those learning how to see auras for the first time often have success with this method!
Stand in front of a full length mirror and close your eyes once again. Make sure to take a few deep breaths.
When you open your eyes squint your eyes and stare at your head. You may notice that you're finally able to see a shadowy ring of light around your body.
Start practicing with a willing volunteer:
Once you can see your own aura, you're ready to practice with a volunteer:
- Have your volunteer stand in front of a plain white wall.
- Next, position yourself far enough so that you can view their entire body.
- Close your eyes and breathe in and out three times, before you get started.
- When you open your eyes look at your volunteer, paying particular attention to their head and torso. This is because its far easier to see a person's energy field if you concentrate on their upper body.
Make sure to choose a volunteer who is open to the idea of auras and who you'll feel comfortable trying to read.
You may want to take turns and to see if your volunteer can see your aura.
If you can't find a willing volunteer you may want to join a meditation class or an energy healing class, where individuals will be more likely to share your interest in spirituality.
Learn about the different colors which exist:
In order to understand what different color auras mean, it's important to learn about the different color auras which exist and their primary traits.
Once you're able to see the dominant color of your energy, you'll be able to discover some of your talents as well as how you can heal any chakras which are blocked and are negatively effecting your life.
Be mindful that auras can change color:
If you notice that your own aura or your volunteer's aura changes color between sessions, there's not an error in your observation.
It's important to remember that auras aren't fixed and can change, depending on a person's experiences, feelings and energy levels.
You may even notice that some people have multiple different colors in their aura.
Use your intuition to sense them:
Some people have the ability to sense the energy of people's intuition, without needing to physically see their aura.
If you've noticed that you have a high level of empathy and find it easy to pick up on an individual's energy, you may be able to use your intuition to sense information about people's auras.
For example, if you feel drained after spending time with a person, they may have a black aura.
While if you feel nurtured and loved, you may have spent time with someone who has a pink aura.
Respect people's right to privacy:
With time you should be able to see the auras of strangers who are walking on the street.
However, just because you have the ability to do so, doesn't mean that you should.
In general, it's advisable to ask for permission before you try to read someone's aura.
Everyone has the innate ability to see auras, if you're interested in seeing honing your ability, remember that practice makes perfect and that with time you'll be able to easily see auras without using a special camera or a white wall.
